RAYMOND JARAMILLO MCLEOD

(Director) Singer - Actor - Vocal Coach - Instructor

Raymond Jaramillo McCleod has performed in every theatrical venue ranging from The Metropolitan Opera to Broadway, television and film.  McLeod, who holds an MFA from the University of Texas, made his New York debut in Zefirelli’s “La Boheme” at The Metropolitan Opera. His booming bass baritone has been critically acclaimed in hundreds of stage productions, including the original Broadway cast of “Jekyll & Hyde”; “Dance of the Vampires” starring Michael Crawford; Juan Peron in the 20th Anniversary National Tour of “Evita”; Wreck in “Wonderful Town”, starring Donna Murphy and Brooke Shields; Eddie in MTC’s “The Wild Party”, starring Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs; and, Jigger in The Hollywood Music Bowl’s all-star cast of “Carousel” with  Alice Ripley, Judy Kaye, Faith Prince and Tom Bosley.  Extensive recording credits include his solo CD “Jaramillo...Until Then”.  TV appearances include the “infamous” role of Psycho Bob in “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” with Will Smith and numerous episodes of Law & Order. An unforgettable voice, McLeod is heard in the Disney’s films, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas, Nightmare Before Christmas and hundreds of movie soundtracks and numerous commercials. His Concert work includes both solo work and as part of New York Baritone trio, OH! THOSE VOICES!, appearing at venues throughout the United States.  At Universities across the country, Mr. McLeod, founder of DrM Studios in New York City, has taught the techniques described in his book, “The Art of Singing (without all the art…)” . McLeod, a much-in-demand vocal coach, also teaches voice at NYU and Columbia University. As part of his duties as Education Director of Angel Fountain Educational Endowment, Inc. Mr. McLeod works with students from local schools served by the AFEE Programs.

Lawrence Clayton has appeared nationally, as Jean Valjean in 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables.  He also starred in the New York Premier of Jerry Springer the Opera at Carnegie Hall with Harvey Keitel and reprised the role at the Sydney Opera House. Broadway appearances include Bells Are Ringing, It Ain’t Nothin but the Blues, The Civil War, Once upon a Mattress, and Dreamgirls.  Off Broadway includes, Crowns at Second Stage, (Audelco Award) Saturn Returns and Romance in Hard Times at The Public Theater, and as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Paramount Theater at Madison Square Garden.  Regional audiences have seen him in productions of Big River, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Boys from Syracuse, Betsy Brown, Sophisticated Ladies and Avenue X.  He most recently appeared as Joe Boyd in Damn Yankees at the Ordway Theater in St. Paul. On the small screen, Lawrence has appeared in episodes of Homeland, The Good Wife, The Big C, All My Children, Another World, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Deadline, Law and Order: CI, and the made for TV movie Mary and Rhoda.  He lent his voice to the Rankin-Bass animated Christmas special Santa Baby starring Vanessa Williams, Gregory Hines and Eartha Kitt.  Recordings include Broadway cast albums of Bells Are Ringing, Once upon a Mattress and Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns.

Sandra Joseph is a Broadway performer turned keynote speaker who is best known for her record-breaking run in The Phantom of the Opera. Sandra played the leading role of Christine Daaé for 10 years and more than 1,300 performances - longer than any other actress in Broadway history.  She has performed with the New York City Opera and at the Kennedy Center, as well as theaters across the country.  She has also starred in numerous episodes of Law & Order.  Sandra is the co-author of the audio learning program, Your Creative Soul: Expressing Your Authentic Voice with New York Times bestselling author, Caroline Myss. She is the creator of the workshop, “Performing as a Path to Presence” which has been offered at holistic learning centers like New York’s Omega Institute. AES Nation named Sandra one of 2015’s “Remarkable Entrepreneurs” for the keynote artist business she launched after leaving Phantom. Through a unique blend of songs and stories, Sandra entertains and inspires audiences for corporate clients like eBay and MetLife. Carter Calvert is thrilled to be back in the Lone Star state!  Often reviewed for her six-star smoldering voice, Carter is best known for originating her role in the Tony®-nominated Broadway musical It Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues alongside Grammy® winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter.  She is featured on the cast recording and starred in the show’s national tour.  Other tours include the featured role of ‘Grizabella’ in the national touring company of Cats. the European tour of Smokey Joe’s Café, and an international tour of Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway. She’s received accolades for her off Broadway work in Forbidden  Broadway: Comes Out Swinging and The Thing About Men.  She has originated World Premiere roles in the musicals Forbidden Vegas, Sparkley Clean Funeral Singers and the Great American Trailer Park Musical. Her regional credits include IANBTB at Denver Center Theatre Company, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Crossroads Theatre Company, New Victory Theatre, San Diego Repertory Theater;  Annie Get Your Gun [Title Role],  Evita [Title Role] at Algonquin Arts,  Sunday in the Park with George at Arena Stage, Unsung Cole (And Classics Too) and A Grand Night for Singing at Cleveland Playhouse; Honky Tonk Angels at Cincinnati Playhouse at the Park; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at Theatre By The Sea; Kiss Me Kate at Theatre Under The Stars; and Pump Boys and Dinettes in Branson, Missouri. Carter has opened for iconic performers including Liza Minnelli, Marilyn McCoo, Chubby Checker and The Temptations.  Her television credits include “The David Letterman Show,” “The Rosie O'Donnell Show,” and “The Today Show.” She is an accomplished actress, as well as a popular voice-over artist.  She’s been featured in numerous national television and radio commercials.  While still in high school, Downbeat Magazine named Carter “Best Female Jazz Vocalist” and Starsong Records has hailed her as “Best Female Vocalist of the Year.” Ms. Calvert has performed as a headliner in South Africa, Greece, Bermuda, Croatia and Italy as well as headlining in clubs and theaters across the country.  As a recording artist, Carter Calvert and the Roger Cohen Trio debuted at number 13 on the CMJ jazz charts (beating out Paul McCartney!). ROGER COHEN

(Music Director)

Roger Cohen’s (Music Director) credits include Martin Short, Rita Moreno, Sally Struthers, Sir Cliff Richard, Kathy Lee Gifford and Dom DeLouise. Roger has also worked with progressive rock superstars James Labrie and Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater). He is also the drummer for Rob Evan (Lead singer for Trans-Siberian Orchestra).  Roger is married to performer Carter Calvert. Their CD “Carter Calvert & the Roger Cohen Trio” debuted at #13 on the CMJ National Jazz charts. It garnered rave reviews & received National radioplay. The cd is available on Cdbaby & ITunes. Another role that is very important to him is his role as mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program (BBBS.org).  Modern Drummer Magazine: “Roger’s playing reveals an admirable combination of power, musical creativity and restraint.”
