Other shows include, “Beauty and the Beast” at East View, and “Spamalot” “Shrek: the Musical,” both at the Georgetown Palace Theater. DaShawn Williams is an exciting young performer and sings both classically and musical theatre style. Mr. Williams has appeared in many shows including Beast from "Beauty and the Beast", Marius from " Les Miserables", Lion from "Wizard of Oz", and in the Opera "Aida" for the Austin Lyric Opera company. Mr. Williams has also competed and won many solo classical and musical theatre singing competitions and has gained national recognition three times. He would like to thank all of his peers, teachers, and family for their support of him and the fine arts. Mr. Williams will be going to school at the University of Michigan or Texas State to study vocal performance or musical theatre but plans on having a lasting career doing both interchangeably.  This a huge opportunity for me, and words cannot express the amount of happiness I feel to be able to work with such esteemed professionals.
