ON BROADWAY

ABOUT THE SHOW

On Broadway is a revue comprised of professional Broadway performers, backed by a live stage band. Performances include hit songs from major Broadway productions, performed by talent who have actually been cast in the Broadway and off-Broadway roles, as well as national tours. Students from the school district will be cast to perform with the Broadway stars.

The 2017 On Broadway cast included Jennifer Hope Wills of Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast  fame, and T. Oliver Reid, star of stage, television and film. Also, back by popular demand, Carter Calvert and Raymond Jaramillo McLeod.  Georgetown itself delivered another four rising stars who took their place on stage and got to show the true caliber of their talent.

Our 2016 performances featured our own Raymond Jaramillo McLeod, a former bass baritone for the New York Metropolitan Opera, as well as television, movie soundtracks and Broadway stage credits.  We also had the indescribable talents of Carter Calvert, along with Lawrence Clayton, who took leave from the Broadway smash hit, The Color Purple to perform in our very own On Broadway (and who performed on the CBS broadcast of the Tony Awards two weeks later...  the cast winning a Tony!!).  Ron Bohmer joined us from the national tour of The Book of Mormon (he is a former Phantom along with many other stage credits), Sandra Joseph, the longest running Christine Daae in Broadway history in Phantom of the Opera and 5 rising stars cast right from Georgetown ISD.
